ive worked on a few quickdeck jobs and i love it. out over a couple dams, they did the top of a boiler before i came, and we just stair-stepped the underside of a huge conveyor belt running to a power house. it usually just hangs with chains, but you can set it on jacks too. the amazing thing is the 4 X 8 sheet of plywood used for decking. It has no support under it except for a 1 inch lip underneath the perimeter... but like i said nothing under the full sheet of plywood and it doesnt budge. duke energy loves it, so thats where our jobs come from.

Hey Justin, yes I worked with QuickDeck a few times. Some of the benfits are;1) It covers a lot of sq.ft. with less scaffold parts. 2) You can build the frame from an existing deck and 3) Little training is needed. However if you are in a tight area, which I was in the engine room of a drilling ship is not the best type of scaffold material to use. When you use it in an open area you area able to build the frame from the existing deck and swing it out than install the plywood. Of course in a tight area you can't swing out the frame section than you are better off using a type of system scaffold material.

Has anyone worked with the QuikDeck System? I would like to hear about the ins and outs of this new system from our perspective. If anyone knows anything about it, please post it here.

I live on the west side of the states and was invloved in the buy out of sunbelt rentals on the entire west coast..  I miss the hell out of sunbelt but our branch was 100% structured around the rental and mechanics, and the scaffold guys were the red headed step child of the branch.  We worked alot but it was a nice change to work for a company that was only scaffold
